Global Impact Kenya Team Update – WHAT DAY IS IT? & Continuation #3(I think… Could be #4πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

I am so behind in my emails to you I must first apologize. So, I’m sorry! I will catch up in this one!!
Yes, DETROIT BEAT PHILLY IN FOOTBALL SUNDAY!!!! YAE!!! (betcha I remember that day!,and Pastor Greg wearing his jersey todayπŸ˜‚)
So, where did I leave off? Graduation! The children were wonderful! And later that night we had the honor of serving them dinner in the dining hall. Some served from behind the counter, while others served the fruit and Tea down front. We spent time with the children, and helped with the clean-up. These are times that make the trip! After resting, the next day we fellowshipped at chapel together.
Kanita’s choir (as the moderator called them) sang and Tanisha’s praise dancers danced! The room glorified GOD! And, if you want to see one of the practices that went viral on Utube The song “I Believe” by songwriter Jonathan Nelson. Such worship!
The woman of the hour, used by God was Iris Griffin! She gave the flannel graph story of the life of Christ. The children (and adults) were mesmerized! She was such an animated, beautiful story teller! God was felt in that dining hall! The children loved the story! Her voice, facial expressions and soul were shown! Bless God! to be continued….πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

So, after worship on Sunday we rested by going out to dinner at a nice outdoor restaurant. The owner of the restaurant also has a flower export business – the largest exporter of roses (some which are only grown in Kenya). We returned to the house, rested for tomorrow. By the way – Brittney and Josh have both had devotional duty and did EXCELLENT JOBS! Brit spoke on fear while Josh did a short history on Abraham and his trust in God.
Monday – today. Most of the team went on Safari. They returned after 8pm, tired from the extremely long ride – but they were able to see LIONS AND TIGERS AND BEARS, OH MY!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ NO, not quite, but rhinos, giraffes and elephants. Of course other animals. They were happy and excited!
Those who remained at the house were able to get odds and ends done. Wachira, Paulette, Greg, David and Shahid went to deliver items to Warchira’s children. It was so good to see them! Kahakia has been a little under the weather (prayer request). We arrived back at the house, great devotion by Shahid on “encouragement”. Dinner was great!!! Special treat from Renee and Gwen… Potato salad!!! Divine, simply divine! And to top it off Glenda made DRESSING! Like wonderful, down home cornbread dressing! Yum!!!! Somebody reluctantly made gravy… πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ (guess who that was!) So, now I’m 5lbs fatter, 20lbs happier! And I’m all caught up! Love ya! Will send pictures…
